The Reflection of a Soul.

There was this righteous man who did everything in his power to obey all laws, although he sometimes err, but he kept on trying, working hard day after after.
One day i approached him and said. "Hello mister, i want to ask you something."
"Go ahead son!" He replied with a warm cheerfulness as no has ever done before and i felt relaxed. "Sir," i said. "I noticed that many people dont like you and only a few do so. I have known you all my life as an upright and a good man, but why do they hate you?"
He smiled at me and looked far for amoment. He looked at me oncemore and saw that i wasnt going to settle until he gives me an answer. "Son," he said. "I konw they dont like me. I know that many of them despise me, but they hate me not because of what i am or who i am rather they hate me because when they see me, they feel guilty. Probably since i do these good deeds they would all give an excuse for not doing. " he took my handsand led me to a stream of waters. "What do you see?" He asked me.
"I see a reflection of myself." I answered him. "Goodness is like a mirror, it actually gives you the perfect reflection of whom you are, perfectly more than the mirror. The world must jugde you, no matter what you do, they will judge you. The onlything you have to do is to live well and live correctly."

You are a champion

Live your life every day as it matters the most. Never let anyone make you feel as if you don't matter. You worth more I tell you.
See the trees in the forest, see the sun and the stars in the sky. The nature gave you all these and you still think that with such beauties like them, that God won't see your scars and tears in oethwr to wipe them?
Remember whom you are every step you take along the path of life. Remember where you are heading to. It hurts when those who should be your comfort end up being the ones to doubt you. It makes you feel as if you are alone. No matter what, you know what you want and so far it is right and legal then pursue them.
No one can take your happiness away from you because they can't. You just allow your self to be influenced by their own ideas of you. They may even be the ones jealous of where you are heading to or what you are trying to be.
Everything in life is all about choice. Once morning comes, it is a choice for me to get up from bed or not to, for me to eat my breakfast or not to for me to go to work or not to. Every choice you make counts so be careful of the decisions you take. Even when you make the wrong decision, don't be cast down because those wrong decision gives you a story to tell some day. You are phenomenal, you are unique, you are you and not someone else. So live your life believing that one day every pieces of this life will fall in place. For now continue to try, laugh at the mistakes and work hard. You will arrive some where one day.

There was a man......

There was this lonely sojourner, who never for once believed that giving up was an option. He moved from place to place, trying to find the best place he would develop himself. For years he walked and walked without any destination in mind.
One certain day, as he came by another village, he met an old but shabby looking man who said to him "son what is it all about, I have seen you pass through this village for the second time in three years" he was surprised. This lone man thought he was coming to this village for the first time. The old man saw the impression on his face and asked once more "what is it that you seek?" Now the old man has come to the point he thought. "Am an ambitious man, am looking for the best place where I can succeed." He old man chuckled and said "best place for success? Son success stories never had wonderful beginnings. Go back home and start from there." That was not the answer this lone man wanted but it was the first time in ten years he asked himself "since I began this journey, what have achieved and what effort have I given to success other than complaining that I havent found that wonderful place." He bowed his head and went back home. On reaching home he saw before his door an opportunity to succeed in life. He realised that the opportunity had been there long before he left, just that he was blind to see it. BY HIS HOUSE LAY A GARDEN OF WILD ROSE, A VINE YARD, AN ORCHARD AND A VAST MEASURE OF LAND. See the opportunities before you, success must begin from toiling. It is never easy.

TAKE MY HANDS.

Take my hands and take a breathe. I have come to lift you up because nobody should give up on life. You worth more than the birds of the air and I BELIEVE IN YOU.
No matter how disappointing life might have been, always look up to that hands streched out to lift you up. You are special. I know how hard you must find it getting up after a fall but dont worry, just take my hands and soon evrything will be alright.
Yesterday you woke up believing that things will work out and the opposite happened. Today you wokebup with the notion that everyday is the same noooo get up and believe once more. Dont give up, dont quit.
The difference between winners and lossers is that winners never quit and lossers always quit. You are a winner so act like one. Get up, today is a new day  to start over again! Remember your success lies on the effort you put in.

When life hits you hard.

Waking up in the morning to begin a new day is a miracle. Yesterday must have been tough, bad, stressful, tensed and God knows how bad it must have been. Today is a new day to begin again.
Most times in my life, whenever i am about to begin something new, i do doubt myself. I begin to ask myself if i am making the right choice. Most times, we allow such doubts to take control of our senses. But a friend once told me that " the beginning is often the hardest.".
When life hits you hard, you must shake or even may fall. You can't stand still when life hits you, no one can. But there is a difference you can make, you can still get back to your feet once you fall! You shoudn't remain on the ground! Rather look up and get up.
We all know life is not easy, nothing is easy because if everything is easy, we all would have got what we all wan t. Nothing comes on a platter of gold. We have in one way or the other experienced some hardships or difficulties, but we shouldnt allow them to keep us still. I have to move! No matter what i must keep on moving even though i still have many obstacles to face, but so far i wake up today, so far i wake up each morning, i will con tinue to struggle and work hard for that dream i have always believed in.
Do you actually believe you can make a difference? You can. You just have to give it a try and everyday things will be falling in place gradually until every pieces of your life becomes one. Go on and dream. Never stop dreaming just because you had a n nightmare and some day you will open your eyes to those thin GS you have long dreamt of.

I survived cancer prof. wole soyinka revealed

Literary Icon, Prof Wole Soyinka, revealed today at a press conference in Abeokuta Ogun state, that he's a cancer survivor. He said his appointment as a board member of the African Cancer Centre made him undergo a routine checkup last year which revealed he had cancer. He said he diagnosed with the disease in December 2013.
"It never occurred to me to test myself because men have their separate test like women and I have heard people who lost very dear ones, closed ones. They just told me, 'Prof, we hope you're having your own?' And I told them I had one 10 years ago and he said, "No, no, do it regularly." And by accident in December last year, I discovered that I had cancer.".

Prof Soyinka who is cancer free now after undergoing a vigorous treatment that ended in October this year, said although he was uncomfortable speaking about his experience, he was obligated to speak about it now so as to get rid of the public perception that being diagnosed with cancer is a death sentence
"For me, this is not a decision which I like but I felt I have all obligation, being a member of African Cancer Centre, and also having even donated a performance during the festival, fund raising for cancer, I am under obligation to make it known and to also demystify cancer.

Many people feel it is a death sentence. Family feel it; friends, colleagues, they begin to look at you as if you are a ghost once there is rumour you have cancer. No, cancer is not a death sentence, it is curable, I have undergone the treatment and I am able to tell you that I even have a model, that's my certificate." he said

Tamir Rice shooting: Cleveland police release recordings
40 minutes ago
From the section US & Canada

Tamir Rice was shot by police on Saturday afternoon and died in hospital early on Sunday morning
The 12-year-old boy shot by police in the US was told to show his hands three times by officers before they opened fire, a senior officer says.
Tamir Rice, whom the officers appeared to believe was much older, was shot twice and later died in hospital.
Cleveland police has released video and audio recordings of the incident.
CCTV video shows the boy pointing the toy gun at a passer-by at the playground where he was shot, which prompted a 911 emergency call.
Recordings of radio communications reveal a police officer at the scene describing Tamir Rice as aged "maybe 20" after the shooting.
A separate recording appears to confirm the officers were not told the gun might be fake.
Cleveland police said on Wednesday that the family had given permission for CCTV recordings of the shooting to be released.
'Male down'
The footage shows Tamir Rice walking around a playground with a replica gun clearly in his hand.
Minutes later, a police car drives up and stops immediately next to him.
Chief officer Edward Tomba said that the car door was open when the officers arrived, and that they had ordered the 12-year-old to show his hands three times as the car pulled up alongside.
The boy was then shot and fatally wounded.
In a recording immediately after the incident, a police officer is heard saying: "Shots fired, male down, black male, maybe 20."
A recording of the call from the operator to police officers as they were dispatched to the scene appears to confirm that there was no mention of a replica gun.
The operator describes the incident as "a black male sitting on the swings, keeps pulling a gun out of his pants and pointing it at people".
An audio recording of the 911 emergency call had previously revealed that the caller had said the gun was "probably a fake" on two occasions, before adding he was not sure whether it was "real or not".

Sydney mother dumps new-born in drain

A 30-year-old Sydney mother has been charged with the attempted murder of her newborn son who was allegedly abandoned in a roadside drain for five days before passers-by heard his cries, police said Monday.

The week-old baby was in serious but stable condition in Sydney's Westmead Children's Hospital on Monday, a day after a group of cyclists found him in a 2.5-meter (8-foot) deep drain beside the M7 Motorway in the Sydney suburb of Quakers Hill, police said in a statement.

His mother Saifale Nai, of Quakers Hill, did not appear in the Blacktown Local Court on Monday to answer the attempted murder charge. She faces a potential maximum sentence of 25 years in prison if convicted.

JESUS OF OGBUNIKE (a man hidden in the hood of evil)

T
Many of us must have heard about the man called 'jesus of Ogbunike.' He is no legendary being nor is he a mythical being. I am sure some of us must have surfed the net searching for a story about this man.
It might interest you to know that his real name is ODII NWAJUANI who as all of must have suspected hailed from Ogbunike. He was a carpenter by profession. He followed his master to his place of work.
He had a sister by name MUOGBANI who was married to an Umunya man. The sister had strange powers which was believed to have a link with the marine world and she was seen always wearing some rings. When Odii came up with his master, he visited his sister, and on finding out about her mystical powers, he stole her magic rings there by coveting the strange powers of his sister. He ran back to Ogbunike and named himself 'jesus of Ogbunike'.
His magical powers drew him much crowd and followers and it was said that he was never seen without his Bible, to the extent  that he quotes the Bible. In as much as he could do many signs and wonders, quote the bible, it doesnt stop the fact that tge devil can do su h. He used his powers mainly on doing evil deeds like stealing, making women sleep with him and other igbo culturally considered abominable acts such as :

  • Ime nwaanyi ka olia nkwu-- making women to climb the palm tree.
  • Igbu eke na mbe-- killing pythons and tortoise.
  • Iro ji n' ubi mmadu -- uprooting people's yam.
  • Odii Nqajuani was a replica of evil and a man who drew followers in the name of God with the power of the devi.l

IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL.

HERATIO SPAFFORD (OCT 20, 1828--OCT 16, 1888)
This popular christian hymn "it is well with my soul." Was written after traumatic events in spafford's life. First was the death of his only son from a fever in 1870. This man also lost his business in 1871 and lost his four daughters on the 'ss ville du harve" while crossing the atlantic on a summer holiday.
He was inspired by grace to write this hymn poem while crossing the same route where his four daughters died to meet his grieving wife. What does grace work in our lives? Heratio was able to acknowlegde the hand of God in his life, and he saw clearly throught the lens of faith, the true worth of placing all oir trust in God even when the evil one tires to bring us down. "though satan should buffet, though trials should come come, let this blest assurance be, that Christ has regarded my helpless estate and has shed his own blood for my soul."
Seeing the faith of Heratio, God, just like He had done to Job in the Bible, blessed Heratio once again. He later had three more children. He found a group called Am American colony which later became the subject of the nobel prize winning  Jerusalem by swedish novelist Selma Lagerlof.
Through the power of grace, we all can as well say that it is well with our souls.

THE CHRISTIAN FAITH IN AFRICA.

I am posting this to day being the 23rd day of november. Today the catholic church, celebrates the solemnity of Christ the king. Coming from the source, I was opprtuned to celebrate that of this year in a seminary school of the catholic diocese of Awka.
The future priests were all filled with a supernatural joy from God, as they celebrated thiers in pure african style with masqurades of different dancing groups. Their faith was much shown as they hailed the master Jesus whom they were extolling as their King and master.

The whole congregation of both seminarians and  the lay members of the church were all happy as thier saviour was celebrated. The officiating priest Rev. Fr. Raphael Onyekwelu expressed his happiness, speaking from the point of view that the seminary family wrre opportuned to worship the Madter in such an extra odinary way. He went on to call Christ the various local title for which He was known. The celebration of today was a success. I was an eye witness.
Below are  some pictures from the modern African celebration.

The Believer's faith.

Sometimes we have to live life, believing that one day every piece of our life will fall in line. I don't know what that drive of yours is, I don't know your definition of it. For you, it may be God, fate, passion.
We all know that life isn't easy, that there are moments when we seem knocked out of the race, when darkness over shadows us. Still in all these situations, I believe that no matter how long the night lasts, morning will surely come. No matter how long a tunnel is, there is always a light at its end. We just have to keep on believing, that one day everything will be alright.
We don't have to give up when we still have our lives to live, we should never give up unless there is nothing left. In our quest of life we should always hold on to something, something strong enough to hold us together.
Anything that doesn't break us, make us. If life isn't able to break you amidst all the pains, sorrows and tears, if you hold on strongly and never give up life will instead make you.
