I am posting this to day being the 23rd day of november. Today the catholic church, celebrates the solemnity of Christ the king. Coming from the source, I was opprtuned to celebrate that of this year in a seminary school of the catholic diocese of Awka.
The future priests were all filled with a supernatural joy from God, as they celebrated thiers in pure african style with masqurades of different dancing groups. Their faith was much shown as they hailed the master Jesus whom they were extolling as their King and master.
The whole congregation of both seminarians and the lay members of the church were all happy as thier saviour was celebrated. The officiating priest Rev. Fr. Raphael Onyekwelu expressed his happiness, speaking from the point of view that the seminary family wrre opportuned to worship the Madter in such an extra odinary way. He went on to call Christ the various local title for which He was known. The celebration of today was a success. I was an eye witness.
Below are some pictures from the modern African celebration.
